Hotkeys
The main priority rule: Esc stops the laser regardless of input focus
whenever marking or the red light is running. It is the highest-priority
key in the application; the other meanings of Esc (close a panel, clear the
selection) apply only when the laser is not active.

Dialogs follow one convention: Enter confirms, Esc cancels/closes.
There is no arrow-key nudge of the selection in the current version — the
arrows belong to the text caret and the rotary context.
Known hint mismatches
- The command palette shows Ctrl+Shift+S for “Toggle Object Snap” — the
actual key is Alt+S.
- The Line button tooltip says “Line (L)”, but
L activates the path
drawing tool; the separate Line tool is available from the command
palette with no key.
- Search in the object library opens only via the button, despite the
“Ctrl+F” hint.
